As the latter half in esteemed Brazilian DnB duo Marky & Bungle, and having remixed everyone from Ghostface Killah & Snow Patrol to critical acclaim, André Sobota’s alternative alias already commands huge respect in the world of EDM. Now his much hyped solo project comes to Toolroom Trax, with debut release the ‘Saviour EP’.
Under his own moniker André has already seen support from Sasha, Dubfire, Eric Prydz, Markus Schulz and more, and this latest two-tracker for Toolroom makes it easy to see why. ‘Saviour’ sets a distinctive direction with tight progressive beats, sumptuous synth work and a soundscape of choice vocal cuts & dreamlike keys. ‘Technicolor’ complements and completes the debut in much the same vein; laidback grooves support pianos, pads, FX and more steeped in warmth and bound by a beautiful core composition.
